Summer is coming! The city of  Florence is round about 30°. In town center you can see almost all the turists eating great ice creams, wearing  bermuda shorts and beach flip-flops. Though, if you take a look at the shops windows you can have an idea of what is going to be fashionable for the next season. And you feel warmer seeing a wool scarf or a pair of  leather boots!!!! But this is the “fashion world”, it turns in reverse! Indeed,  it’s right now that buyers have already choosen and bought their favourite products for the new season and the most important and famous designers are showing at Pitti Immagine their Winter collection 2009, and even some preview for the Spring/ Summer 2010.

Do you like to have some news about the winter trends? Unquestioning first in class is the fur coat, both real and imitated, but always matched with very fanciful wearing: retrò jackets, silk blouses with “balloon-sleeves”, studs, fringes and plaits are going up, plus fours and hip-huggers are still in fashion. But let’s talk about shoes! Obviously there will be the typical darkness colours of the winter, but this year the designers have scheduled the full-colours: blue, purple, green, red are matched with black and brown. In fact, everywhere you turn, you will see bi-coloured shoes, if not even three: pumps, over-knee boots, women lacing shoes (see the picture beside), they have all very high heels and plateaux that you’ve never seen before!

Still in fashion boots of all shapes. Over-knee boots trend is going on: they are over knee long, often with folds, super flats or with very high and large heels, but always very feminine. This is the year of the external plateau.“ Heart-shaped toes” are the best: nor rounded neither pointed! They’re just off! Vintage style, enriched with studs and chains, is taking success both in wearing, shoes and accessories. Patent is definitely out, and will be replaced with leather as suede and nabuk. Finally, what youth will wear everyday are going to be boots and low-boots with great rubber sole.
