Pitti Uomo77

Today, finally, we have been to the fashion fair Pitti Uomo 77 at La Fortezza da Basso in Florence! This second day there was way more people than yesterday, and already in early morning the ticket queue was long, and to enter the pavilions there was almost a need for trafficlights! Lots of people, lots of buyers and lots of news - that is Pitti Immagine!
As always the preparations are a true expression of creativity. Fornarina for example had a really sweet idea, positioning large pink kissmouths long the entrance corridor.  Large space was given for vintage; the jeans brand 2 men had chosen a container as their stand, filled with dated objects such as bicycles and chimeys; one of the cutest ideas came from Momaboma, that gave coloured chalks to everyone in order to write on walls and newpapers! La Gazzetta dello Sport had an eye-catching stand with a real bar inside!

Talking about the well known “Pitti People”, this year’s editions, replacing the 100m wall with photos, had prepared  large ribbons with phrases and theories concering the concept of “fashion” (see our Pitti video). As a matter of fact, the word, “la parola”,”  is the theme behind the fair, created by the creative director Patricia Urquiola.

Among the new upcoming brands, some have particularly catched our interest, the young and original Diciotto, with a monkey wearing raybans as a logo, suggests a vintage inspired collection completely made in Italy – really sweet accessories! The sunglasses from the brand Jumper-s, have a new design, in soft plastic. They are coloured and ultra light, and you can easily personalize them with any kind of lense – they will not get out of our sight!
Last but not least, the London brand  Jeeperspeepers: sunglasses of all kinds,  from the very chich to the trendy – there are a pair for every style! We could not risk to loose them, so we immediately made the order. Soon they will be available at the romanofirenze’s online shop and in our shops in Florence! For now, we can offer you a sneak peak!
