Your personal shopper: basic rules when you shop for shoes!

Every woman knows that shopping  for shoes  is not just fun, if you want to come home with the perfect pair – it’s knowledge.

Romano Firenze’s Personal Shopper gives you the five basic rules when you shop for shoes :

  1. First of all, as the feet tend to swell during the day, trying on shoes by the end of the day will reassure you that they will fit from morning to late night. If you want to buy comfortable shoes, do not forget that your feet change during the day.
  2. Equally important is trying on both shoes, not just the right or the left one.  Do not pretend that your feet are identical, for most of us, one foot is slightly bigger, and a pair of shoes has to fit both of them!
  3. When it comes to the shoe size it is important to not only try the shoes on, but to touch in order to feel where the big toe arrives. There should be about 1 cm of space for rounded toe shoes. In cases where the trends make us buy shoes with strange shapes, such as narrow toed shoes, of course the way of reassuring that you buy the right size, is simply controlling that the heel is not squeezed nor that it has to much space.
  4. So, what about the heels? The really high heels are of course a must, but remember that they are not suitable for more than shorter times since they tend to modify the way walk even if you are an expert. However, flats and ballerinas can equally give you problems such as muscle aches. The best everyday heel due to experts, is the 3-5cm heel. But as we all know, variation is a must for  shoelovers!
  5. Last, but not least, even the moment you choose is of importance. If you have the possibility to go shopping during weekdays, you avoid the weekend rush, and you will most probably find less stressed shop assistants able to help at their best and dedicate themselves to you for the time you need. Do not underestimate a qualified and experienced shop assistant, he or she can really be the difference between and good or bad purchase.
